Gerda Füricht-Fiegl is a political scientist and programme director of the Master´s Programme European Studies – Management of EU-projects at the University of applied sciences Burgenland. Her lectures and research work focusses on political communication, the political system EU, election campaigns and EU-Lobbying.

Alongside her scientific expertise she has many years of practical experience in management positions in the communications field in Austria and Brussels. She worked as an official for the European Commission (press team of former EU commissioner Franz Fischler) and was press officer in the European Parliament (delegation of the S&D of Austria).
