Alojz Peterle, 1948, studied geography, history and economics, cofounder of Slovenian Christian Democratic Party in 1989, member of the Slovenian Parliament 1990/2004, first democratically elected Prime Minister of Slovenia 1990/1992, Minister for Foreign Affairs 1993/1994, 2000, Member of the board of the European Convention, Special OSCE Envoy to Central Asia 2005/2006, MEP 2004/2019. Awards: Merite Européene, Robert Schuman Medal, Alois Mock – Europaring.
